With the Dyna's gone

I'm a sportbike guy but I'm not really sure that Harley doesn't know what it is doing. Bike sales are down but they still own the market segment for large bikes. I still think they are making the bike their customers want. Every time they make something different/more sporting they just don't sell. The Cafe Racer, V-Rod based Street Rod, XR1200, etc were all poor sellers. Change or die they say and it might be true but Harley still makes the bikes people want.

If you knew anything about Eric Buell at H-D you would know that he did design the 4 valve heads for the EVO. When he left he wanted to take the design with him and H-D said no. Latter he had them reverse engineered and they were available on the aftermarket. A few Evo owners have them.
It is in many books and articles about Eric, H-D and has been discussed on the Evo forum.
