Other than the price, I don't get the hate. That looks just like the full face helmets I wore back in the '80's. That's what they used to look like, kids.
Yeah back in the 80's. Now you actually have more visibility in the new designs.
don't know why everyone is complaining about the price, here are a bunch of bell bullits to compare it to.... seems reasonable in comparison.
still wouldn't wear it though.
I'm not the type of guy who feels he has to wear HD apparel and gear but I do own 2 HD non leather jackets and a few t-shirts. I think HD gets a bad rap as far as pricing vs quality in some situations. The quality is pretty good to very good and their prices vary from reasonable to a little on the high end. No different really than any other company who produces gear and apparel. As far as design I feel HD does a great job with their jackets and some other gear. Much nicer designs than Langlitz and some others out there. In fact, I think Langlitz makes some pretty boring looking jackets. Some are downright ugly. HD shouldn't be ridiculed for their gear anymore than Triumph, Honda and others shouldn't.
As far as this helmet, just liked you proved, it's a lot less expensive than these others.
A langlitz jacket is only limited by your imagination. Ever seen their japan site? Their models are just a starting point. Evn if you dont like the designs id rather go down in my ll than anything else. Theres langlitz, then theres everything else.

Just a matter of preference I suppose. Langlitz no doubt makes quality jackets but not everyone wants to spend a grand on a jacket. As far as protection, there is no evidence that Langlitz provides more protection than other quality jackets.
There are leathers at half the price that will provide equal protection, and others with armor that will do better than Langlitz in an accident. I've seen Fox Creek jackets after a good 100' slide that held up beautifully. Personally if I were to spend top dollar, I'd go with Vanson over Langlitz. The leather quality and craftsmanship is just as good and they offer armor as well. Some will argue that Vanson is better.
I wasn't aware of the Japanese site. Looks like they have a bit more of a selection but my question is why aren't these jackets on the US site?
Langlitz has a great reputation, and deservingly so, but this reputation doesn't necessarily make them the "one and only".
