Default I remember when the FXR came out. People said they looked too much like Japanese bikes.

Now people are crying that the cost-cutting update/copy of the FXR, namely the Dyna is gone.

And now they're saying that these new bikes, legit high quality original designs, look like Japanese bikes.

I suppose the fact that 3/4s of the old folks hate the new design means harley is doing something right.

Shame that they've stopped producing one of the best models in the H.D. line up...b.

I test rode a FXR back in 1982. That's all it took to make me a believer. I own two of them now that I will never sell.

People may be more open to it if the cost cutting was passed onto the consumer, instead the cost went down for the moco and up for everyone else. At this time I really think Harley is their own worst enemy.

I wish I had my FXLR back. I never saw a Jap bike comparison but others did.

Road Glides have always put me in mind of an '82 Goldwing.

And the FXR had mediocre sales resulting in the Dyna replacing it. It's only a generation of if younger riders with specific interests that have created the cult following.

Whiners and bitchers will always repeat themselves.

I'm 77 and will be adding the Fat Bob soon. To me it is a street fighter and the finest of all H-D's ever made.
