Im not getting a new Harley, not because I dont like them, but because its just not in the cards right now. I really dont mind the lineup as a whole, but there are a few WTF moments in there. As has been discussed ad-nauseum over the past months, Harley needs to modernize or die. Well they did. Now the (formerly) faithful are up in arms they dont look like a Harley. You cant have it both ways, either they modernize and innovate, or they remain the same, and we keep bitching they need to update the lineup
Only time will tell if the new Softail frame is worth killing the Dyna for, but at least the MOCO did SOMETHING, rather than keep on keepin on.

Well... I guess roughly you can divide HD fans into two camps... those that are like me and love the old style bikes and guys like my brother who would love a Harley if it rode and had everything a BMW motorcycle has (say automatic shifting???)
I am more than happy to own a 2013 Road King Classic that has everything I need for long, comfortable rides - I my opinion it is the ultimate combo between looking oldschool and having modern tech. I personally dont need more.
As for the new line-up... Deluxe maybe, Heritage has ugly bags now... They totally killed the FatBoy that is fugly as hell, Slim looks like Indian Scout to me, and for the rest of the models I never cared much.
Another aspect is - all the enviromental / EPA rules killed the true Harley for me - so the only way to go in Europe is getting an 30+ years old Harley that qualifies as an oldtimer and that will be my second "sunday" ride someday, while I will keep my 2013 King as long as I can
So ... I don't care much - there is more than 70 years of used Harleys out there

That's the problem right there- with all due respect- people like you will never be onboard with any sort of radical change from the MoCo, because you just want an evo with a carb and loud pipes. I've also seen lots of complaints on this forum from senior members that HD needs to modernize their bikes and make a genuine effort to introduce new bikes that have more than new colors. Well they pretty much did that, and people are bitching about how they don't like the color offerings. A new frame and suspension is about as radical a change as you can make, and now they are putting the new engine in it, and it shows they made a real effort to do something big and bold, and here I am reading about how they look Japanese and the colors suck. True, also they are into other things. My oldest was around bikes his hole life. He knows how to ride. He is into these new small sports cars. He drives a Ford Focus ST as a daily driver and is now getting an RS for the weekends, no bikes.

As a former Dyna owner, I'm glad HD dropped the old Dynas. As much as I tried to like them, after owning four over the years, and having issues with most of them, I hope the new Softtail version works out.
Another point is, as I've aged, the ergos on the old Dynas just didn't work for me any more. Knees and hips don't bend enough for Low Rider or Street Bob. I hope the new versions work better.

I voted yes. I don't see myself buying anything in the lineup currently, but I can easily see this changing if they do release an S model of the LR or SB. The unusual Fat Bob is growing on me. It's not my style but after watching the video/360, it does look like a badass ride.
I am all for technology as long as the excitement and HD riding experience is there. There's a reason I never got into a Victory, Indian or Metrics. I can't wait to try out the new frame and M8 but as of right now, I think I'll stick with my hunt for a 14-17 LowRider.
