No way that I will buy the latest models. Two reasons: I don't have the money for it and 2nd, I always wait till others survived the initial problems with a new model and the manufacturer adapted the bike to this experiences. And 3rd, mostly Japanese brands change their models every year, so a model of a few years old is already 'outdated'. And you will experience this when you want to trade in your present bike.
HD is going the same way, imitating the way to 'make turn over'. Again, no way Jose!!

I like the Street Glide, but I'm good with my 2017. Just my opinion, a lot of ugly bikes this year....

Went to the dealer today and asked if they knew when they would get a ‘18 Deluxe in (they didn’t, and seemed frustrated that they didn’t have one yet). While I was there, they started up a Fat Boy 114 and a Slim for me. They both sounded really great.

For the last few years they haven't made a model that I really wanted. Really, not 1 single model appeals to me out of all of that product line. The touring bikes have crossed a weight/size/complexity threshold that I can't tolerate - I just wish I could buy a 74 cubic inch tourer without a rolling disco entertainment center, with a simple compartment to store my sunglasses. I dont need 150 cubes scorching my thighs - I just putt around with the wife! I had sorta liked the FXDC but they dropped it. The Sportsters don't appeal at all with that low black chopped-up scrunched-up bent-over look. I'm not a Softail fan, so... I gotta face the fact that what they make now is not for my demographic group.

Yep, I agree. No offense taken. Have one on me.

What's left for me now in this hobby/lifestyle is restoration of prior models more suited to my riding style. I doubt I'll ever buy new again.

It looks like I am in the minority, but I love the look of the '18 FatBoy 114. I'm going for it.
