I can honestly say that I never considered the purchase of a Dyna Lowrider but this new Softail Low Rider has me thinking....

Sales of the new Softails have yet to be foreseen. I will predict, however, that brand loyalty among new buyers will drop. Considerably. The MoCo once relied on repeat business. That may or may not force HD to constantly become more innovative more quickly. Yet, I don't see today's consumers as brand loyal.

Stopped by my local dealer today to see if they were selling, the Fatbob was long gone, no surprise there, the Breakout and Fatboy had sold signs on them. What I was told was that they must have had at least 200 credit applications with credit scores in the 400s. So the new bikes are attracting their target audience, but not allot of them have the cash or the credit.

I hate to say this, but from what I've heard, this is fairly normal at HD dealerships....

This number seemed high enough for the finance manager to bring it up. But this is Westchester county NY, lot of money here, but dealer is close to the Bronx.

Stopped by the dealership today, and saw some of the '18's.

I'm not a Softail guy, and I'm not in the market for a cruiser, but, Igottatellya, that Fat Boy was effing gorgeous.

Gorgeous!

Not my kind of bike, but I'm being honest here, it was gorgeous. Maybe not $20,000 gorgeous, but gorgeous.
