Put me down as a no .. mentioned in the 5k over msrp thread.

The lifetime warranty is a scam to keep a steady flow of service money coming in.
The prices are in fact inflated compared to the MSRP on the harley web site.
The salesmen/dealership are selling over MSRP and people are buying.
The dealerships want 2800 bucks for a 7 year unlimited warranty that includes tires and rims.

Im out. Im going to purchase the Cornerstone warranty for ~1700.

Exactly, just one of the many reasons I hate the new bikes. Easier and cheaper for HD though...

You don't really think it's just red primer do you?

Flat clear coat is one of the most difficult and expensive clear coats.

Can't have any blemish or drip during painting because you can't polish it out.

Personally I like the mat clear. No need to spend hours polishing. Had it on my Xbones.

As for the Heritage, I was never interested in the model when it was all chromed up, now I came very very close to buying one. Would have gone for the 2 tone "primer" Industrial Gray Denim / Black Denim.

My '17 Slim is in Red Iron Denim. The color isn't for everyone, but I do get compliments on it fairly regularly. It's been very durable, and keeping it clean is super easy.

I will say that it doesn't look good on every bike. It looks ridiculous on the '18 Heritage. Maybe if they had incorporated it as part of a 2-tone paint job or something.

To me it LOOKS and feels like primer.

There's even a rattle can color called oxide red. That means rust!! You bet your *** it looks like primer. That says cheap-looking to me.

It's part of the MoCo's color progression over the last few years, from black primer to gray primer to Rustoleum Red primer.

Like I said in another thread, the one (and only) thing I do like about the new Heritage is the leather over plastic bags like the Boss Bags I have on my bike.
See? One man's trash is another man's treasure. I'm starting to warm up to the new Heritage (faux oil tank aside) except I really don't like the bags.

See!! You were ahead of the curve! The MoCo should hire you as a design consultant!
