After seeing the 2018 line-up, Are you going to buy?

I don't think any of us are gonna fault someone's taste or what they want to ride or buy, most of use just like the classic style of what is our favorite model lineup which we feel was done with out any input from us, but as I tell anyone buy what you like and ride what you like, so long as you ride !

I wasn't in the market to buy anyway, but I do like what they've done with the touring bunch and some of the existing (re: NOT dynafied) Softails. Some of the new colors are cool - particularly Wicked Red and the blue denim with the logo. The Fat Boy is a little odd (wheels, headlamp), but I do like the forks and the 240 tire. All-in-all, I'm kinda glad I'm not buying. Learning all of of the new changes will take some time. In the meantime, I'll be riding my Dyna grinning like an idjit. Ride on!

It's just a word; could have used "naysayers", "complainers" or any other of a variety of adjectives to describe folks that start complaining before they actually go ride a new model and come back and report the pros and cons; I would not refer to those as whiners. But to start complaining when one may not have even seen a new model up close and personal, much less having ridden one; sorry, call me crazy but I consider that whining..................hmmmmm, maybe I am whining about the whiners??
I own two Harleys, '02 and '05 and both highly modified and nothing the MoCo has come up with for the past 15 years has interested me enough to consider getting rid or either one; not the Mount Rushmore bullshit or the 2017 M8 motor. However, it's about time the MoCo started making substantial changes rather than what has been done in the past with changing paint schemes and colors or adding tweaked and warmed over units from a model line and adding it to that model line with new name; come on.:icon_doh"
JMHO but the combining of the Dyna and Softail lines, with a hard mounted but better counter balanced motor and an adjustable mono shock suspension (not sure what if anything was modified up front) the delivers a better handling and more powerful motorcycle is a forward looking move as well as smart business move for the MoCo which I am sure we all want to remain a profitable and successful motorcycle company. My complaint, which I can't do anything about, is that the new power plant is much more difficult for the DIYer, like me, to maintain and/or modify.
So I won't whine but hope the MoCo does well with the new model line and I believe they will once folks start riding and reporting on the new bikes.
