Yes, it is true. We were never serving more than one pop-up per 12 hour period per visitor, so you wouldn't feel bombarded. However the catch was that you had to have your cookies turned on and your pop-up blocker disabled for my site. Since most of you didn't have those options enabled for my site to begin with, you thought that I was doing nothing but trying to shove pop-ups down your face. The whole reason for capping the ads wasn't doing me any good.

One of my subscribers mentioned this in a board post and I saw it. We went back and forth a couple of times to make sure that I understood how he had his computer set up. It was then that it became painfully obvious to me that people were getting pop-ups and it may have been hurting my readership.

They are now disabled. I'm seeing how it goes. I lost some revenue, but am waiting to see if the additional traffic will more than make up for it.
