All this whining over the new design got me thinking. Change is going to happen. I wonder how radically different harleys would be in 100 years.

What do you think? Assuming they still have two wheels and an engine.

also, in before vivid black

They will look just the same as they do now! - things change SLOW at HD!

Either that or the ultra will be a levitating body, a-la star wars, without wheels and a more streamlined shape - no more batwing...!

Look at the 1918 models compared to the 2018 models.

They'll look nearly the same as they do now but you'll only be able to see them in museums.

I doubt motorcycles will be around. At some point, all cars will drive themselves and the government will decide that riding a MC is just too dangerous. So, to protect us, they'll only allow autonomous vehicles. Someone will build an autonomous motorcycle, but ultimately they'll be boring and so they would fade away.

Personally, I feel sorry for the sterile lives I believe the future will have.

They have made some "big" changes/strides in the last couple years.

Not all of them good.

I realize they have to keep up with the the world and safety/emissions standards, but some of the changes

I think you're right. Motorcycles represent an unacceptable level of risk in a future which will be "sanitized for your protection". I hope I'm wrong, but I fear I'm not.

I am reading everyone is upset over the new Harley line....makes me laugh. The next thread will Harley is not doing well because they are not designing to the younger next generation of riders!! In my opinion Harley is keeping in line with their heritage and adding new styling details to new models. I like what Harley is doing. Bring back the knucklhead, yeah that will help keep the aging 70+ year olds buying bikes.
