Default As I get older.......

.........I enjoy things left more OEM than I used to. The term OEM+ is what I am after today. Get the stage 1 out of the way to get the fueling right and then just subtle mods to make something my own but still looks like it could be OEM. I'm like this with all my vehicles any more. I guess I'm getting old.

I'm OEM on the cages but still play with the bike. I never had a silent truck before but I kind of like it now.

The only mods I do to my bikes are to make them more functional or to run better, nothing "custom". IIRC, the last real custom mod I did was the 16" "Hog" rear wheel & tire on my '78 Sportster.

I understand I'm 58 now and had a few health issues the last couple of years been riding dikes since I wa 14 have owned a street bike for 42 years went through some years when I didn't ride at all been back on the road steady the last 20 years I did my mods to my 2010 ultra and tried to concentrate on not losing dependability so now I'm down to just doing maintenance stuff and replacing as it wears out. I no longer need to keep the front wheel in the air quite comfortable on two wheel listening to my tunes

I don't care about making noise, but I do want it to both look sharp and run less lean. Comfort is my main goal and first in priority.

I'm only 62 but I still run a TH and make mods all the time been riding since I was 16. Never lost the desire or drive to modify my bikes. I get what your saying dependable ride can be had even after severe mods.

I am all for mods, so long as they are classy and tasteful. No douchebag ****. I just hit the big 4. 0.

Before the new RK I literally built every bike I owned from barn finds to bare frames and crates of rusted parts. As you say as I've gotten older spending a couple hundred hours creating another one has lost it's appeal. RK's going stay close to bone stock, just got tired of doing it I guess.
