ORIGINAL: Spartan
My dealer waived freight and set up. Sold me the bike at MSRP and gave me a $250 gift card which I applied against the cost of the bike.

Chewy is correct about the dealers in our area. They charge anywhere from $750-$1500 for set up/dealer prep. Most of them will not deal because if you walk someone else will walk back in and buy.

RE: Setup Fees?
In 01 I wanted a new Heritage Classic and the local dealer here in Tucson was selling over MSRP which I refused to do. You don't have to "go" to the other dealers. I went to the library and got the phone book for Phoenix and started calling dealers telling them what I wanted. I found Buddy Stubbs in Phoenix would sell to me for the right price and a credit card number over the phone was all it took to get the ball rolling.
I never set foot in his dealership until the day I went to pick it up.

RE: Setup Fees?
All the dealers around here (Illinois) charge between 400 and 800. My dealer wouldn't budge on price, but I did get 20% off all accessories and clothes the day of purchase. (and free t-shirt and gas)
