I use a Stihl leaf blower. Never had any problem with debris. If my driveway is dirty, I will blow that area out before washing the bike, or the blower kicks up the dirt, while drying. One nice thing about having a 17 year old bike, is I’m not as OCD about detailing. Dealers basically told me it’s not worth much as a trade.

Yeah post 15 is best, yet high operating costs? LOL.

FWIW
I have used leaf blowers for decades on black cars with no ill effects from rocks or debris.
Master Blaster et al with heated air and very small nozzles, for crevasses, can be an asset.

I have one of those. It works great on my dog, but it's actually heavier than my leaf blower, not as powerful, and has to be plugged in. It probably works as well as any other thing that has to be plugged in. And it's a lot cheaper than a Stihl.

Although thi thread's 3+ years old, Wife bought me the Air Shammy ~5-yrs back for Christmas it's another of the things I constantly use (like the J&S Jack). Dry bike, vehicles, bare a$$ - shill blowing & drying like a champ. Even though they're $$$, well worth it to me. Put it on your XMas list.

I was a bit sceptical about the power but was pleasantly surprised. Used it a couple of days ago to defrost the deep freezer, was done in 15 minutes or so .
Of course the air stream doesn't hit such a large area as a leaf blower, used one once but didn't like to be so far away from the bike when holding it. And it was bloody noisy.

Everyone seems positive about these tools. I have mixed experience. I seem to get an area dry and it gets wet again as I move on. Feels like I'm just chasing the same water around different parts of the bike, until I get back to where I started, then have to go round again. Oil coolers are a particular pain. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? I have hard water, so if I let it dry on the bike, it leaves white deposits.

For the last year or so, I have used waterless washes more often than not.
