Harley Davidson 1200 vs Honda cb1100

The 1978 Honda CB 750 K was the biggest bike I ever owned till I got my 2000 Wide Glide, and it was fun, but it wasn't a Harley. Now to answer your question, if it was me I would go with the air cooled Sportster, I am not a fan of the liquid cooled motorcycles, I don't care whose names are on them. That means that I would pick a sportster over a V Rod.

This would be a tough call for me. I'd probably lean to the Sporty due to likely better resale value (since apparently you trade bikes frequently?) And more mod potential. But I learned to ride on a 77 CB750K - that CB1100 looks like it would be an awful lot of fun...
I'm both glad I'm not in your shoes to have to pick, and wishing I had this kind of problem at the same time!
Post pics of whatever you get when you get it home!

By golly I think you are right, "after closer inspection," I'll have my wife make me an appointment with the Optometrist for next Thursday, and everyone had better stay off the sidewalks till then. LOL

Top speed is one thing, getting there is something else.
Also an electronically limited 110mph top speed cant compare with old school, no-electronic nanny 750 four. Tune the limit out and the CB1100 is faster top end.
