2 different bikes, 2 different purposes.. I've owned a Sportster as my small bike and a CBR1000. My money, I'd buy the Honda as you already have an HD or better yet, get a Triumph (which I did)..
OP says he has a "touring bike" but doesn't say what brand.
The CB1100 is a nice looking bike but IIRC, it's restricted to 110 MPH which is slower than the original 750 Four. That kills it for me, because a good running 750 Twin will do that.

For once, the Honda CB1100 has both front and rear fenders made out of metal and they are chromed. Both are nice but very different beasts. You need to ride both of them to know.
My wife has had a 2012 1200 custom and a 2014.5 1200 T and I had the 2012 48 so I can say i believe this cb1100 is in the same market imho lol she rides a soft tail slim s now and she will be riding with me, she will love making jokes about my ricegrinder lmao

I should say when I was a kid I bought a 1982 Honda nighthawk cb750 and put over 100k on it before my girlfriend made me trade it for a car because she was sick of walking in the winter months, I should have kept the bike and traded her lol I loved that bike and that's how I got interested in this cb1100
