Anything used is worth what the Market will bear. That's really all there is to it, be it a motorcycle, house, car or whatever. I like to use EBAY and go to "Completed Auctions" for a particular motor vehicle item, because it's pretty accurate to see actual selling prices for something.

Well, if you were local, I might consider taking that Emmons push-pull off your hands, then you could keep that beautiful WG.

I should be local. I've got a Mom and two brothers in Sanford. Hate the current push pull. Total piece of crap...

I was offered a 2012 Wide Glide with 1800 mi on it for 7k. Dude had it listed for months at 9k here in Phoenix, not even a call. He had about 2k in upgrades. He finally sold it for 8.5k, just took some time.

In the northwest, used bikes sell for really high. Over book value easily . There's really no point buying used here if you have the money. The depreciation is minimal.

In that case, it sounds like it might be worthwhile to fly to elsewhere in the country where sellers are struggling to sell, then renting a van or small truck with a bike trailer from U-Haul or whatnot.

Why do you suppose they sell for that much more there?

If its not attracting any buyers and is a nice piece, that means your asking too much.Keep it and it will continue to devalue.Get real about its value and sell it.

Sorry this ain't the early 90's where there's a 6~12 month or longer waiting list for a new bike. There's a lot of used bikes out there.

lower supply, not bike friendly climate (rainy), and less of a bike culture compared to the south . Those are my guesses.
