Default 60 Years old today!!

A very adventurous 60th birthday today! Started out riding up over Squaw Pass with my favorite little Indian. Things got interesting as we were trying to get back into Denver after lunch in the mountains. Some idiot crossed the median on I-70 causing a fatal crash in front of us. It shut down everything west of Denver.

So, after some creative alternate routing that took us on gravel roads on a 950 pound Ultra Limited for about ten miles (steep mountain roads, BTW), sitting in the rain at a standstill on the side of the road in Morrison for an hour, and another hour trying to maneuver our way home, we finally made it!! Three sport bikes and 10 cars decided I knew where I was going and followed us. I told the first guy on the sport bike I had no idea where I was going. They bailed when the pavement ended, but all the cars followed me into Morrison.

I couldn't have bought a better day if I were Bill Gates! Thanks Lizzy for a perfect 60th!

I bet the day was better than the one that you had planned.

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday! Nice photos. Wet gravel are the best, NOT! Followed Garmin's instructions in WV and it took me up and around a two track for about 5 miles, popped in some blues on the MP3 player so we wouldn't be molested on that mountain trail. Glad you made some lemonade out of the lemons.

My zumo always takes me on interesting rides, set to shortest route.

You look an awful lot like a very good friend of mine that died last year. Even wife thinks so.

Well, I'm not sure how to respond to that! Sorry for your loss.

Didn't mean anything negative and hope you live a good long time. Don was a great guy and just a coincidence.

No, no. No negative feelings. Sometimes I FEEL like I died last year. I hope this reminded you of good times with your friend Don.

Happy Birthday! I'm not very far behind you.

Glad you and your "favorite little Indian" made it home safely after an impromptu change of plans.
