Memphis Shades Road Warrior fairing install on an older DYNA is possible
All,
I just wanted to let anyone wondering that it is possible to install a Memphis shade road warrior fairing onto an older DYNA. I have a 97 dyna convertible and really wanted this fairing. I took a chance and ordered it. Of course I had to make some modifications. The good news is I did not need to make any modifications to the fairing only the brackets. I had the windshield brackets from my original windshield and the hardware from a set of Memphis shades lowers from an olde bike. Anyway $4.00 in hardware and a few cuts on the windshield brackets and I the fairing mounted up and works great going down the road. I do need to make a change to move the headlight forward if I want it flush with the fairing, but this is also possible.
Anyway I just wanted to give back to the forums since its helped me out so much in the past.
Thanks

Depending on wind direction and speed you may at times experience some adverse handling conditions when adding certain accessories to a motorcycle.
A friend of mine installed a H-D "clamp-on" windshield to his FXDWG and had two harrowing experiences. Not knowing what was causing his issues, when I suggested that he should try removing the windshield in order to confirm my suspicions, he was totally shocked and surprised but a t least he knew where the problem originated.
