Air jacket/vests are designed to protect vital organs. They do just that.

I use a vest of mine for demonstrations in class.

OP~ Glad to hear you didn't get hurt worse.

OP I'm so glad you are going to be OK! And so glad you had a helmet on! I risk, flesh and bone. But I have a lid on 95% of the time, Full Face. That just went up to 96% of the time. Knock on wood I've never been in a hospital or doc's office over a bike wreck and I know thats because of helmet use.

And while we celebrate your survival of a crash. I morn the loss of your King. I followed your journey of making it yours. And have privately thought of you as the King of the Blue and Silver Crew. I really like how you set your bike up. One of the most useful Kings I've ever seen.

Get well soon Sir.

Yes - and the one I have also supports the the spine and hips - hopefully preventing any breaks. All in all, well worth it for me.

Hey Cajun, that's quite a story you don't remember. But glad you made it through and wishing you a 100% recovery.

I sincerely appreciate your comments about the bike. I was about to have the fuel tank painted. I think you would have approved. I've enjoyed tinkering.

My family are lobbying pretty hard for dad to find another hobby. Time will tell.
