Glad youre here to talk about it..my wife had a TBI and was doing the same thing..."looping" for a few hours..that was one of the scariest things I have ever seen..make sure you get treatment..it will take awhile, whether you recognize it or not..still has effects..7 years later..
Best wishes to you and your wife. Head injuries aren't a joke.
Bike damage isn't terrible. He must have tried to stop or we both did. Right side of bike has few marks. Left crash bar is toast. Frame might be bent. Some other dings.

One witness said the light "had been red (for the other guy) for a while..." If that's the case, I would have been less likely to slow as I approached the intersection, so that made me feel a little better about what happened.

Doesn't matter how minor, they would rather total it than to risk problems after the repair.
You my have to decide whether to salvage it, or move on.
Best to decide that beforehand.
Again, glad that you were prepared and that you got off with minor issue..

[QUOTEAlso good to hear that the Hit-Air vest airbag did its job. I've been wearing one from day one, and thankfull have never needed it yet. Sounds like the $600 for the vest was money well spent![/QUOTE]
As vulnerable as we are on a motorcycle, why not choose all the protection you reasonably can? The vest inflated properly and by the paucity of bruises, aches and pains in the areas it protects, I think it did it's job.
But the star was the Shoei helmet. Concussion? Yes. Coma or more serious brain injury? No. And my memory, except for the accident itself, was back 12 or so hours later.
