Oh crap. Gremlin bells don't really work? I may have to stop riding.

Glad you survived. Have you had an accident before, and that is why you had an airbag jacket? I never heard of them.

Glad you made it through that one. Sounds like a hell of a hit.

Do you have any details on what happened? I can't tell if you're saying you got rear-ended, if the guy ran a stoplight and hit you from the side, or if he ran the stoplight and you T-boned him.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Sorry it was much wore, but glad you are hear to talk about it.

I have never heard of that jacket. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I will have to check it out.

First, thanks to all of you for your well wishes.

Check out www.bikebone.com. Jackets. Vests etc. I know it minimized my injuries. I'd gladly pay $500 for one again.

As to the accident, I still havent' seen the report and I remember nothing. What my son learned from the officer was that I was at an intersection turning left and the other guy ran the red light and hit me. Then he accused me of running the light. Thanks to the good citizens who got out of their cars and took a stand for what was right.

What bothers me is that I NEVER just take off when the light changes. I always look again before taking off, even in my truck, so I'm puzzled as to how it happened. I WILL find out. Looking for video in the area.

Wow man, I know how you feel to wake up in a hospital bed and not know where you are, or what time it is, or how long you have been there. I went through it back in 07. So hang tough, and lay there and think what kind of bike you are going to get if your bike is gone. I sure am happy that you are here to tell us about it.

From one ATGATT guy to another, thank heavens you're ok. I will definitely look into that jacket!

You got your bell rung pretty good even though you had a helmet on. My guess is, had you not; you'd be dead. You saved your own life. Here's to hoping you heal fast.

Damn! Glad you're taking this as well as it seems. The bell must have worked otherwise you wouldn't be relaying your story to us.

Best wishes for your recovery.
