I read aggression-especially in parking lots-like the guy that came out of nowhere across all those parking space lines at 35 mph-like a torpedo comming at me-had to lay it down to keep from broadsiding him. As I laid there with 700 pounds of bike(pipes on right broken ankle) he walked over to me with a glare in his eye as I said to him "I think my leg is broke" His glare turned into what we call in Okla.-the evil eye. He then turned and walked away without uttering a sound. I'm ok and my bike will be-but he never will-lots of strange and evil people out there.

Two things I learned when I started riding on my own in the 60's..................ALWAYS make eye contact, it seems to help............despite the 80 yr old lady who left turned me in 86 and then stopped so as to make sure I hit her....................and the other is, always when you see a cager at a stop, watch his front tire not the whole car..............your eyes/brain WILL register movement from the front tire before the rest of the car starts moving (ok, b4 you notice the rest of the car moving). That split second can save your life! Watch for it! Try it out next time you're out. Learn to make the eye contact; very effective.........if you realize they are not also making contact, back off, it ain't gonna be good!
