I've been out riding with my buddy today. I was wearing jeans, boots, black dorag, mesh jacket with armor, goggles and gloves. It's 90 degrees and the humidity is 65 percent. I nearly friggin croaked from the heat and we stunk worse than the Del Fuegos biker gang. Hell, people got up and moved when we sat down and that was at an outdoor bar. So, I have to ask y'all. Do you ever ride in shorts,tank tops and flip flops? I was just kidding about the jock strap only although today would be the day for it.

 

I sweat my nuts off today....we did about 200 miles but couldn't take anymore.....too friggin hot.

 

Always in full gear.

 

All you really needed to do was pour a bucket of water over yourself. Insulation works against heat too.

 

I just can't bring myself to ride in shorts & flip flops. On the hot days I wear jeans, boots, & a short-sleeved t-shirt. The t-shirt will be zero protection if you go sliding, but if you're sweating to the point that you're miserable you won't be riding at your peak and you definitely won't be having any fun...

 

I usuallywear my "man about town" see-through jock strap. All the fellas in the Bay Area think it's just marvelous.

 

I'll go tank top, jeans and boots if it's over 80 degrees.

 

I leave the cool-butt riding to hambone!!.............

 

It's over 80 from about March to November.

 

I had made a post about this a month ago. I've been riding sportbikes for over 20 years and have always worn full leathers, leather jacket, full face helmet, gloves, etc, etc....

Since I've been riding the HD, on short about town rides, I have actually been caught wearing tank tops, shorts and flipflops.

I first saw riders in Hawaii wearing flipflops and thought, how unsafe is that?

Now, I've done it myself. I realize it's unsafe but my riding has become so much easier since I got rid of the sportbike.

Anyway, I understand the bit about the heat..... it just sucks.
