Default Death Wobble

I know there have been threads before on this but I can't figure out what is wrong. The handlebars start moving back and worth around the 80 mph mark and gets worse in a hurry as you try and go a bit faster, tire pressure is correct and tires are good, here is what I know for sure,I did cut my windshield down a couple of inches so I can see over it clearly but it still gives my wind protection in the chest area, and I have a warped rotor, the bike is going in for it's 40,000km service this week and I have asked them to check it out, they said the windshield and rotor won't have anything to do with it but will check the neck bearings when it's in there next week, any other thoughts as to what it could be so I could mention to them, even though they should know, all they said that the techs will not test ride the bike at such high speeds which I understand.BTW it's a 2011 Superglide Custom.

Thanks.

The "death wobble" is noted with a different bike then yours (pre-2009 touring models)
But the high speed wobble you mention can be caused by worn or out of toque neck bearings,,
,,so your going to have that checked right?
What's your question?

Is there anything else that I should be asking them to check?

are you experiencing "wobble" or "weave?" there's a difference.

"80mph" may be a speed that the engineers did not anticipate owners were going to ride at when they chose the damping rates, spring rates and frame geometry angles for their cruisers...

Try riding at 50mph and see how it is.

Well,I can ride at what ever speed I chose,I said it starts at 80,everything below is fine,no wonder I don't post much any more,I asked a simple question, don't need to told at what speed to ride,80 mph is not that fast on the highway with traffic flying by you.

Since you are in Canada, do you mean 80 kmh and not 80 mph?

IIRC the Super Glide is a Dyna, which means the swing arm attaches to the transmission case. I suppose if the motor mounts are shot it could be lettting the rear wheel wander.

OP~
You asked a question on what to do to fix a stability problem with your bike. I answered it.

It's ok with me if you don't agree. I might be wrong too. I know one thing, your bike is unstable above 80 mph, and none of my bikes are.

It's in the handlebar and yes it's 80 mph,I said mph cause most of you guys are US,so it's about 140kph,and it didn't do it before,so maybe it is the neck bearing,I just asked what else it might be just incase the neck bearing is good, that's all.
