I'd also recommend on the newer bikes if your dealer set up the alarm they probably used the last five of your vin for the pin to disarm it (manually) without the fob.
Change your pin to something that is unique. I'd venture a guess I could go to just about any bike with my dealers license plate frame on it and use the last five of its vin to start it.

On my older system I cut the am-fm antenna wire, installed the appropriate male & female conectors. Bought a "Y" wire (2 female 1 male connectors) and plugged the alarm into the am-fm on the tour pak. Gave me great range..
On my 06 I use the HD Siren II, the Pager, Lock the ignition and put a disc lock on it. They might still get it but they'll have to work for it & if theres one close that is easier to get they'll take it instead of mine.
