I agree that the bell is justs a neat tradition and nothing to do with superstition. To me, wearing a helmet is also a neat tradition.

I ride with both, the bell was a gift, the helmet is the law. Why take any chances???

no bell. no tassles. no chrome.

great tires, fresh oil & filters, recent tune up, good helmet, gloves, and gear.

Wear a beanie (half lid) in town and full face on the road even though there's no H law in MT. Bells are generally restricted to cows only. You can get a Bell Permit, but the test is really tough - I can't give milk. I alsocarry a donor card, just not ready to cash it inyet.

I live in a free state Kansas they give me the right to decide so far! So I don't wear a helmet I have a bell and it protects the bike from them nasty little gremlins. I know it's working I have seen a few Gremlins make a run at my bike and the tinkle drives them insane. I love it that the state of Kansas believes I'm smart enough to decide if I should wear a helmet or not. They are such sweet people. I do have my donor card signed and ready. But as long as I have my bell I know I am safe. Live free and ride free. Love it!

Both - big shiney bell on lower right front (downtube) and either a FF Icon Mainframe helmet or an HJC half helmet...
