I feel the ride bell is more of a Harley tradition than superstition. I wear my helmet for safety and I have a ride bell for tradition...you didn't have that option so I couldn't cast my vote.

Do this poll where there is a no helmet law and 95% will say they wear neither. Very rare do you see one on a Harley in Co with a helmet.

more post about hanging the bell because people want them and a good majority of us don't want a helmet I have to have one (helmet) but when the chance to go lidless comes (AZ) I still have my bell just in case

I wear a helmet cuz it makes sense, and my state says I have to. Dont know what I would do if given the choice.
I have a bell cuz someone gave it to me.

I only believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster and the Invisible Pink Unicorn

Heard that in some places they are starting to writetickets if you're bell does not have the proper OEM numbers stamped on it. EPAsays that the ringing of non OEM bell's annoys some people. The thing of it is, is that problems have been showing up in these areas because the OEM bell's are so quite that theyaren't scarring off the gremlins and occurrences of bike break downs and accidents are on the rise were people are being forced to use only OEM bell's.

"good majority of us don't want a helmet" . . . interesting thought. Not sure if that's the case or not, though.

"but when the chance to go lidless comes (AZ) I still have my bell just in case " . . . so you're putting more faith in a little bell than a helmet?
