Bike runs better with Supreme gas.
I thought something was wrong with my bike still because of all the enging noise. And when I wasn't being cheap on gas, I switched to supremeand "WA-LA"... "Presto chango".... No PINGING!!
Maybe that's why I haven't changed my "Nu B" name!?! [:@]

RE: Bike runs better with Supreme gas.
I think supreme is what you should be running anyway.
Locally the octanes are as follows:
regular: 87
Plus: 89
Supreme/Pemium: 93
The octanes may vary some, but probably not by much.
This means premium/supreme is our only choice.
The manual on the '07 tourers lists a 91 octane minimum.
For those previously unaware and having noise issues, could this be the cause?

I"m pretty sure it says in the manual for my '05 to use supreme, and I know Bruce, the HD salesman told me to use supreme.
I have only used supreme except when I was stuck at a gas station without 90-something octane and not enough gas to move on. The bike ran like poo.
A 76 station near my parents' house had racing fuel, over 100 octane. Every once in a while, I'd run my car down to fumes and put in a few gallons of the racing fuel (It was OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive, like $3/gallon), and the car ran like new. It was a 20 year old Oldsmobile with over 100k mi.

I always run the mid grade and no problems at all gas mileage stays the same only thing I notice is if you don't shift when you should up hill around corners you can get a little ping. have even accidently put in reg and saw no diff. although I did ride a little easier.
