Default To ride or not to ride

Headed to northern Michigan Friday for a much needed 5 day weekend. Unfortunately, it supposed to storm all day across the state. Do I suffer a terrible wet 7 hour backroad ride in anticipation of some good riding while up there and a nice ride back home next week? Or do I say F it and take the jeep. There will be other weekends. Ahh white people problems.

What does your gut say. If it says ride, then go for it.Otherwise take the jeep.

Take the Jeep, but wear the chaps, doo rag, and vest. Just be sure to wave at every bike you see. Best of both worlds!

Ride, weather and rain are minor irritations compared to the frustration of driving a jeep.

In February when it's too cold to ride, you'll be saying to yourself, I should have taken the bike for that ride.,,,

I've all said there's no such thing as a stupid question. I may have been wrong.

My answer will always be ride.

If you have the right wet weather gear, go for it. I live in WA state, been caught in the rain too much. But always worth it.

Ride.

Just wear the right gear, and take your time.

Cheers!

When my buddies and I road to Daytona it rained on us for 2 1/2 solid days on the way back. And there was 18 inches of snow on the ground when we left. I would not have missed the rally or the riding around Florida had I known that in advance. Our tour to Laconia and New England a few years ago was nothing but rain. We still had a good time. In fact, the only tour I have gone on when it didn't rain at all was our trip to the Smokys this spring. And that was just dumb luck. Buy some decent rain gear and go. The damned weather forecasts are wrong almost half the time anyway.
