Yep add another vote for Big Mike's white man solution. Exactly what I'd do, especially considering if it stays ugly all weekend you can maybe find a couple Jeep worthy trails!

This. Best of both worlds. Riding in the rain is zero fun for me...even with gear. Oh and I'm a fair weather fisherman too.

I'm going to ride. The road trip weather planner is still saying storms the whole way but F it. I might luck out and have beautiful weather. Or I get wet. Either way riding is better than driving.

5 day trips with no bad weather are hard to come by. If its one day out of 5 get on the bike and go. We are pulling out from the UP on Saturday with rain but the rest of the week looks great. Sometimes it is just part of the lifestyle.

If riding, take US 23 up, that way you have a better chance of shelter along the way. There has been some heavy rains up and the roads took a beating. Where are you planning on staying up north?
