Slip on and fuel mgmt!

Stage 1 consists of...
Free breathing air cleaner.
Free breathing exhaust.
Rejetted carburetor or remapped EFI.
Upgraded ignition (if require*).
If you change the exhaust, it seems like it needs a tuner...but I'm no expert. Maybe not with a slip on but it does when whole exhaust is replaced.

You need "fuel management", even with a stock bike - more so with a low restriction air cleaner. FuelMoto is a forum sponsor.

Now if that doesn't apply to you, get the bike properly mapped. And by proper I mean a custom-designed map for YOUR bike...not some generic fit's-every-bike-out-there canned download or add-on device that just adds fuel even when it doesn't need it.
Lots of ways to waste money when it comes to tuning...do yourself a favor and learn what tuning is and isn't.

Thanks people, I am not looking to be cheap or ruin the bike. I want to do what's right without "wasting" money not needed. I'm not interested in high performance, just a little rumble as in my original post My local HD shop tries to "upgrade" way too much every time I go in so I've stopped going there. Just trying to figure out what's best is all!
