Stop light sharing.

RE: Stop light sharing.
It is not an issue for me. If I pull up behind another bike stopped at a light, I’ normally hang back a little unless I think I know the other rider.

I never stop in the middle of the lane if there is a car in front of you.Don't care if anyone comes up in the other side and sits there either. You sit in the middle and you limit your chance of hauling *** out of there if the vehicle behind yougets shoved into you. If you do get rear ended I'd rather be driven foward past the side of the car in front of you instead of the middle of it.

I will pull next to someone if they have a nice ride and I want to give them the "approval" nod. I will also make sure that they pull away from the light first.

I don't mind if they pull up if I have seen them back there, what I don't like is when someone whips up next to me when I haven't seen them. When I come up on another bike at a light I pull up to a staggered posistion where I can be seen in his mirror
Years back I had a motorcycle cop that tried to slide up next to me(while rollin the lower deak of I-35) and tell me to slow down, about the same time I did a fast right hand lane change to whip in front of an 18 wheeler. I never saw him and nearly clipped his front tire as I cut across his path, I got a ticket for speedin after that, but I bet he don't pull up on people like that any more. If I would have cliped his tire it would have probably put him under the big rig.

I won't pull up next to someone unless I know them. I don't have a problem with someone pulling up next to me if they're so inclined. I don't think I'd resort to the phraselogy Dirty Dave uses, but if you don't want 'em doing it, then park it in the middle of a lane. This ain't rocket science--at least, not since I last checked.
