only a cheap dumbass who enjoys extra work would polish them instead of puttin chrome lowers on...in order to properly polish them they should be removed...if you remove em, chrome em

Well, I guess I started this thread for some feedback on the idea.. I guess I got it. [8D]

It's a good mind of an individual thinker that can form a singular and solid opinion. However, the ability to succeed with that opinion depends almost solely on how tactfully we may state it, in order to be taken seriously for honest debate.

Can I get an amen!?

I had my forks polished on my vtx1800, the result was amazing, however, chrome looks as good and it takes less maint. I was to do it again, I would get chrome for sure.

Now some of the answers here really made me laugh.The Only reason I like polished aluminum is because it is so much easier to take care of than Chrome.,Dumbass or not.I tried the chrome thing 35 yrs ago and it totally turned me off.Too much time polishing!!

So how do you keep away the alluminum corrosion? Clearcoat or continuing polishing or other?
