I have some snakeskin fringe on my levers that are dyed almost the same color as the bike.I like them and some other people do,and some other people don't.Last time I checked it was my name on the title.If somebody doesn't like them they don't have to look at them.They won't be the one riding off on it anyhow.So if having fringe makes me gay somebody better tell my 2 sons and my ex-wife because none of us knew.

 

I like the tassels also but the wife don't............should just put them on, she don't have to put them on her bike.

The distinction here may be about something being considered effeminate perhaps?
I admit I'm often surprised at the guys who are perfectly okay with one thing but not another like:
Fringe?
Pink Shirts?
White Socks?
Fanny Packs?
Big Belt Buckles?
etc

Know plenty of guys who do fringe but wouldn't be caught dead in a pink shirt. And I knew plenty the exact opposite. Go figure . . .

 

In my opinion, as long as a guy's not driving down the ol' dirt road, he AIN'T "gay."

Hey, do not knock those fringes. On a long ride, when you and your lady stop at those boring motels, you just bring in one of those handlebar tassles.
