I am curious too, as an 07' owner. Please let us know, what was the cause?

The mechanic I know who ows his own HD race shop told me about the 07's - he just fixed one. The cause is the chain. The 07's have the equivalent of a bicycle chain going around the cams. They changed it from the 6 or 7 link chain that used to be in the older motors.

Not a good thing.....

Go with gear drive!

Same deal right here in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.
Guy I know with an 07' Ultra he brought home last October, had the cam chain let go two weeks ago at 4,000 kms. He is not a impressed.

You'd think a company that's building motorcycles for something like 300 years could get the cam chain right.....[:@]

I'll bet whoever made the descision to go with a cheaper chain has an MBA.

I wish they'd start making them right from the factory with a gear drive and get this issue fixed once and for all. They knew it was the "weak link" in an engine originally designed to last 100,000+ miles since the twin-cam was introduced in '99.
