Default MSF Skill Test

How soon after the classroom and road session of the MSF course is the test scheduled? Is it a few days afterwards, or right after the last class?

Welcome!

It is right after the last class. If you pass, you get your certificate. Then you go to the DMV, take your written and if you pass that, you get your M1 license. Good luck.

Here in North Dakota when I went through once you passed the classroom it was a day later for the road course and if you passed you went to DMV and they would give you your class M endorsement.

When I took it, we did the classroom portion on a Friday evening. Saturday morning was on the range and the testing was done on Sunday morning. Had my motorcycle endorsement by Monday afternoon.

Here in MA you pass small written test to get permit. I think it was around 20 questions or so. You needed to have permit to take the class.

Then at the class we had to pass another written test before moving on to the road training and then finally road test at the end in the class.

Just did my BRC last month. Online course first, Friday night 4 hour classroom, Saturday and Sunday 7:30 - 12:30 on the range. The final practical was during the 11-12:30 period on Sunday. Our class all did extremely well, they waived us on 3 exercises during the practical since we had performed them during the practice. Took my card and permit to New York State DMV and got the M endorsement the next day.
This is my first ever bike, 2012 Dyna Switchback and I got the Ride Like a Pro DVD and some trainers cones and have been doing drills twice a week. .... and riding everywhere as well.
Overlooking the Great South Bay in Patchogue, New York.

In Fl my course was all day Saturday, half classroom and half riding. Sunday morning was the written test at 8am, you had to pass that before going back out to ride. Then we had 4 hours of riding, then the riding test. We were done by 4pm Sunday, I had already made my appointment at the DMV for 9am next morning, took the certificate with me and got my M license. I had a Harley by 3pm.

The funi part is when you get your motorcycle endorsement, it says "Motorcycle Also" or something benign or dumb like that on the license. Where is the imagination. Motorcycle also? Really? Mercy sake......

Oh, and I love UKLauren. I can never stop say'n that.

The class I took had it at the end of the course. If riders couldn't get it right on first try, they'd let them try again.
I think the most important thing to do is get on a bike and ride as soon as you can after the course and put everything to practice that you've learned.
There are a lot of things to remember that will eventually become second nature.
