Contact Lenses and Riding Glasses
Can anyone recommend a pair of riding glasses that won't let any air in through the sides and underneath? I have to wear a face shield because the wind dries out my contact lenses and makes my vision terrible. I'd like to be able to wear a 1/2 helm and some shades if possible on the hot, hot days. Thanks for any input.

I wear contacts and just have a pair of wrap around safety glasses that work. Panoptics makes glasses that have foam around the frames to keep the wind out, as do some others that I have seen at the HD shop. Shouldn't be too hard to find something that will work.

probably not what your looking for but Walmart eyeglass place has these sun glasses that have snap in Perscription lenses. They are a regular set of sun glases sell for $50.00 then you buy these specs that snap into them. They are really cool and I have been wearing them for 5 years. They are the wrap around style and no one can really tell you have perscription. Just a thought.

I have a cheap set of clear goggles that I bought at a rally once. Had them for almost a year riding with and without windshields... they seem to do okay, but I do notice the my eyes water more on cold days.
The goggles have that foam "gasket" around each lens to keep most of the air out.

I own about 4 pair of riding glasses and I wear contacts.
I don't buy the expensive riding glasses, yet I've never experienced the "air" problem you describe. My riding glasses are the cheap ones sold at rallies and I even have a pair of safety glasses sold at Home Depot that I use as riding glasses.
A lot has to do with the shape of your face/forehead I'm sure.
So what works for me, may not work for you.
Maybe goggles might be a good option if you've tried more than one pair of riding glasses and had the air-in-the-eyes problem.
Make sure they're riding glasses your trying though. They should have some kind of foam/cushion around the lens part to help against the wind.

Yeah, no w/s is definitely going to dry em out. I've worn em for years, but with the shield on the RK, I just use sunglasses. Suggest you look at some goggles.
