Now just my opinion but....it just doesn't look right. Looks too heavy/big at the front end !...b.

That is the best looking effort I have seen so far, but I think it needs to be refined more. I think you should incorporate styling cues of the Evo FXR's side panels to get smoother visual flow, but you are definitely going in the right direction. The side panels need to be painted to match the tank and possibly have a medallion or some type of accent on them. I think the fender strut needs to be cleaned up a bit as well.

Another option might be to go with leather instead,

Or, you could just trade it in on a Heritage which accomplishes what you are trying to do.

I like it. I'm not much on "bags" anyway.

I see you have them strapped to the rear axle.... ummmmmm...... Let us know how that works out for ya!
There is no weight on those clamps as pipes stayed up tight and sturdy but as you say is correct on head pipe, so I just used self tapping screws in the holes already there and used clamps and corktape so no stress anywhere.

All in all, though, it looks great- have fun out there showing her off!
Now I am just the opposite. I dig the pipes sticking out on both sides but to each his own. Yeah I agree, fishtails may look sweet!

Thanks buddy!......Everyone who seen it likes it but maybe when I'm away they say "That looks like SH**-ha"

I road it HD Dealership and got a lot of looks and compliments and some thought it was a Deluxe not a Road King Classic.

But honestly, those side panels ruin it for me, they're just too large, and unblended. You obviously have more talent than I do, is there any way to shape them so they contribute or lead into the upward and rearward arc of the fender? I think I'd also color match them instead of black.
Thanks rjjj629........I had them green to match bike but like you said, they are just too big and I modified down as much as I can cuz of the fuze box behind sticks out. If I can find a way to push that in further, I will remodify they panels and post pics...here are the ones I modified from stock.

OP you do realize the swingarm moves quit a bit and the pipes are designed to be held rigid don't you ? Just asking ...........
Yeah I gotta fix that for sure.....Going to attatch clamps to frame somehow or fender struts....I guess I could use the stock rear bracket without the bag support...

Any suggestions would be helpful

thanks for the heads-up everyone........

You need a trail arm coming back from the frame to support the pipes. Attaching them to the swingarm was really bad. First time you hit a bump...CRACK!

Yeah I guess I got lucky on the one time I road it like that.

Are the trail arms a custom fabrication or is there a place to purchase them.....thanks RHPAW

You might be able to use an exhaust setup from a FXR with a bit of fabrication. They mount from the engine & transmission.
