I removed the fender from my FXR for powdercoat and couldn't wait around to ride. Beautiful clear day in the desert. Middle of nowhere a monsoon came in and flooded everything.

That front tire turned into a garden hose in the face on the ride back. I couldn't even get mad it was so funny.

So I agree, leave it off!

What looks worse to me than no front fender, is a whitewall on the back, and none on the front. BTW, I'm not a fan of no front fender. The whole bike just looks odd, like it was pieced together with a bunch of mismatched parts laying around the garage.

I applaud the creativity in creating a bagless bagger, just cause, but I use my bags every time I ride.

Where do you put the beer, weed, bug spray, oil rag, DeLorme’s ???

The reason I did is cuz I can't afford a bagger AND a non-bagger so I figured I would ride one year with bags and the next year without. It would only take me a couple hours to put bags on if I needed to for trip or whatever.

Anyways, here's the pics without all the rails and modified side covers.

The bike looks excellent…..nice job!!!
