Not bad! If you like it, thats all that matters. For me, road kings needs bags, and i prefer the leather ones.

Looks great there OP. My only input would be on the color of that side color. All black is to much and it stands out. All the fender color would also be too much. What about painting the top half the fender color and the bottom half black. Use that fold like as the transition.

1995 Road King Bagless Transformation.

21 inch spoke4d front tire . 18 inch tires on back Both spoked rims, Gas tank lifter for more space around the engine, Dakota Digital Speedo Ohlin Premium Shocks on the back. The Front forks were changed to a 05 Road King and the handlebars are from an 08 Dyna Bob - 10 Inch risers like on a Dyna. Front brakes and calipers were changed out to better match the chrome front. New headlight and riding lights all. for those that want to know WHY? well I have a 2008 Police edition Road King that can cary everything i need. This bike has served me for over 100,000 miles and I put mile 1 on it back in 1995. This bike has so many memories having been ridden across the country 6 times back. Never let me down and the trade in value or private sale value did not seem like fair deal so I began this transformation in 2013 and slowly it has been put together. The last thing left to do is to change out he rear brake and shifter to a forward control for better comfort riding. Electrically the wiring harness was cleaned up a bit and I am still looking for a set of side covers that are not so Bulky. Ideally these I wish they could be turned into a tool box like the old UL or Flatheads had but that is for tomorrows changes.

Not enough lighting on the rear. I like lots of lights back there so the dimwits can see me!!
And I love my bags!!!

that nekid King rendition looks best of the few on this thread to "my" eye
But no front fender?
You live in an area that rarely ever sees rain or showers?

I'm admittedly and unashamedly a fair weather riding poindexter, but do get caught in an insolated shower occasionally.
I'm thinking what a PITA to clean/polish up all that chrome and lights 'n light hardware after a few miles of wet road sludge slung all over it and in every nook and cranny ..

To me the "no front fender" gives it way more character, rain be damned, if you get caught in the rain you going to get wet anyway.

Ok for those looking for a front fender option, pull one from a Kawasaki Mean Streak. It's a nice wide fender but short and aggressive looking. Mounts up with some simple modifications (read cutting).
