OP--I forgot to say in my first post that you should NOT be starting the engine on your bike.

If you have that much gasoline in your oil it could cause mechanical engine damage, or even worse you could have an explosion and/or fire.

Pull the carb or take the bike to a shop and have the carb checked or rebuilt.

Folks it is a softail. If the gas goes thru the rings into the sump it is then pumped to the oil tank.

The only source would be the carb draining fuel constantly.

But the same thing would happen in any bike and the gas would end up in the oil pan.

I know it was said that the petcock was fine but it may not be. There is a small o-ring in there. I would pull the petcock, disassemble and inspect.

New guy, first post. Theres a diaphram in the petcock that the vacuum pulls on to open the gas flow. Yours is torn. The vacuum line is sucking gas directly into your intake manifold.

My 1992 Softail did the same thing fuel ran out of the over flow line non stop, thats how I first noticed my problem,,,,,my bike is in a painting phase, I start it with a hose into the Carb fuel intake (I have a small funnel as my tank for now) NO Trash gets in, I check and protect against this
A small piece of cork showed up in my clear temporary flue line one day, figured the problem was over,
Just noticed that the oil level was higher, and smelled of gas, Im thinking the over flow issues has ended, but with out my tanks on, I cant rule it out
Until I can ride it, im thinking the issue is in the floats and seat still, Im going to look for my Compression tool to check the pressure, but it runs good, no major smoke so im thinking the carb is the issue, S&S Shorty, engine stock The bike has been off road for two years, it has been started daily for the last 30 days after the starter solenoid was fixed, the washer set nut had freed its self and spun freely and would nut turn over.
Sounds like its time to pull the carb and look inside
