Default Backrest question

Does anyone know a simple solution for the following? I have a 2010 ultra classic with stock seat and HD drivers backrest. (Had back surgery and need it to ride) Anyway, I have a quick detach tourpak and then put on a street glide seat for little different look and feel. Problem is the post on the backrest at lowest setting is several inches higher do to lower seat. I asked and HD doesn't sell a shorter post or backrest. Any ideas? Im.sure I'll hear some sarcasm, but help is what I need.

Is the backrest pad on the lowest setting? I can raise or lower the pad on my bike. There is a pin that you can pull out and move it up or down.

Same with mine. Also has an angle adjustment screw.

I see a few options:
1. Two posts, You will most likely have to modify one for the lower seat height.
2. Two back rests...
3. I guess you could turn the post into a two piece unit and swap out the bottom half to fit application, or add to the short one to work with the thick seat.

Default Thanks

I will look into finding some locally who can fabricate me a post for times when I use lower seat. Thanks for input.
