Default Seat Heat

Happy Easter,
I'm in the process of ordering a new Corbin solo seat. For those of you that have had a seat Heat is it worth the money? I probably won't ride if it's below 60 degrees, is it even an issue for me? I've been away from riding for about 10 years and I can't remember my butt being cold but I was much younger. Have any of you had the Corbin heater? Does it work well, is it easy to unplug when you remove the seat?
Thanks for your input!!

Getting ready for the winter season? I've never felt the need for a hearted seat but I've wanted a crotch warmer because of the chaps not covering everything. If I could have found leather pants, I would have bought them instead.

I have an HD heated seat that I put on the Ultra in the fall and pull off in the spring. But, I ride year round and for me, it is a nice option (wifey likes it too).

If you're not going to be riding in anything below 60° I believe a heated seat would be a waste of money. Just my opinion.

Unless you plan on riding below 32 degrees I see no need for one. I've ridden on them at HD demo days and they are nice but from what you said you don't plan on riding under 60 degrees so don't waste your money.
NOW IF THEY WOULD ONLY COME OUT WITH AIR CONDITIONED SEATS LIKE ON SOME CARS!!!!!!!!!

I've got a Corbin seat made out of leather and although some have done it, I never saw a need to have it heated but to each their own. I get more concerned about cold hands than I do a cold butt.

I ride when it's above freezing. In the thirties, I've never had a cold butt. I wear a heated jacket liner with heated gloves. Maybe that's why I stay warm all over.
Investing in heated cloths might be a better option.

I've got the HD hammock seat with heat. My wife and I really like it. I'm a paramedic and the analytical side of me knows they warm the whole body by putting heat in your groin area the same way we apply heat to a hypothermic patient. If you're not going to be riding below 60 degrees, I wouldn't spend the money on it though.

Everyone is different when it comes to temperature. My wife is cold almost all the time while I feel warm most of the time. 60 degree here is still short wearing weather. If you just want the seat material to be warmer try a sheepskin cover for your seat.

When you're out riding in the cooler temperatures of the fall or in the spring, the last thing that you're going to think about is how cold your a** feels as compared to the other parts of your body.
