..why? Are we talking new production? What are the issues with new production Harley bikes?

I'm referencing a few such remarks I've read here.

Some people just like to hear themselves pontificate.

Me, I'm really liking the M8. On different times I've rented an M8 Road King for about 7 days and around 500 miles. And I'm giving serious thought to adding one to my fleet.

To me, those same nonsense spewing folks will literally say in same breath that they will never buy an efi Harley but then Harley needs to get in with times and make a more powerful bikes like the Japs and the Europeans.

I'll be 66 in June. When I bought my new Low Rider, I told myself "this one is a keeper, no more Harleys". This, after buying and selling 4 different Harleys in the past year and a half. .......so.........we'll see how that goes. I've owned a dozen or so Harley Davidsons, and I haven't had a bit of trouble with any of them, well, except an old '77 Ironhead Sportster I once owned. The most serious thing I've ever had to replace, other than routine tires and brakes, was a speedometer cable on my '85 Electra Glide. And I fixed that myself for $20, the price of the cable. After growing up, like most of us, on metric bikes, I've been on Harleys for the last 35 years. I'd never ride anything else.

I WOULD love to find an older Harley just to have as a second bike. I fell in serious lust with this one. 1972 Super Glide. The guy is the original owner, has owned it for 45 years, and kept it in beautiful shape. Bet I couldn't come up with enough cash to get him to part with it:

^^^ THAT, my friends, is a MOTORCYCLE!!!!

I love the M8 on my RK, and can't wait to see what it'll do on a dyna-maybe add an M8 FXDF in my future?

Gorgeous bike, except I don't have fond memories of drum brakes on bikes-either they barely stopped you, or would like to throw you over the handlebars...

When I get to a point where I can't ride or I need to sell this one, no more bikes for me...Harley or otherwise.

I've had my current Harley for eleven years. It runs and looks as good as they day I bought it. Sometimes when I go out in the garage to get something, I just stop and look at it. I'll keep it until I'm too old to ride.
