To the OP, I am curious what particular role a bike would play? I dispatch for an FD, in a small town. Just a professional curiosity.

Predominantly for parades and PR purposes I would presume.

They're used to calibrate the thermo image cameras

I used to work for a third service, county EMS agency. They had a couple of motor units. Both Harleys. They used them for parades and events, plus as an ALS response unit in areas that were covered by BLS rigs.

The pics get fuzzy when zooming in, are they from Fort Walton Beach??

With 24/7 gridlock traffic in ca, motors are often the first to arrive at crashes. FD motors could make sense as first responders in bad traffic.
