annual road trip (at least the longest road trip)
two weeks approximately
chicago to whereever

was thinking of buzzing down to st louis and picking up hwy 50 to san fran, then hwy 1 along the coast up to seattle area, then hwy 20 till around sturgi, stop at the rally for a day and book home

but an alternative would be hwy 2 on the way out

we try to camp as much as we can

coming back on hwy as that is the closet to sturgis. usually i would do a separate trip, but my nephew, who went to sturgis with me last year and wants to go again, might have trouble getting the additional time off

doing hwy 2 is i am thinking 2-3 days shorter, and i am just not sure what the future holdes (weird stuff happening in my life) and it might be hard to get those additional days off.

seems like hwy 2 is more 'out there' than 20 or 50 and it might be nice to get away.

other comments would be appreciated.

50 from St Louis to KC is Ok, but KC to Ottawa area sucks. From there to Colorado is fine also in Colorado.
