Nasty cold wet day with snowflakes in the air, so I'll just remember a more pleasant ride this summer, in the Black Hills with my daughter on the 1200C. Trailered there, she's never done a long cold wet ride (lot of rain both ways) and I wanted her to enjoy the experience. Never expected to get to do this at 71 with my daughter, be great to do it again in 20 years. If that happened by some miracle, I'd probably be in a sidecar with her at the throttle. Actually, we've already done that, but just locally. I need a pretty good sized sidecar, too, going to have to hang onto that Harley sidecar rig.
Fortunately we finished that ride before this moved in, but it still made for a good view.

I'm starting this thread so that I (and anyone else who wants to join in) can share daily adventures, observations, experiences & photos of owning and riding a Harley-Davidson.

It's beginning to warm up in northern Mississippi, so I'm much more likely to be riding my Sporty or Softail, than the Tri-Glide.
It'll be another 9-10 months before I'm riding in the snow again.

However, I have spent my weekends embarking on new home projects. I have no idea what the hell I'm doing, but I'll be firing up that pit in two weeks while enjoying cold adult beverages so I have something to look forward to.

Had to run up to the cottage last weekend so took the bike, 3 1/2 hours each way. Was cloudy and mid 30's but there's not a lot of riding days left this season, Got caught in so short bit of ice pellets on the way back.
Sun came out for a few minutes as I started back. Just missed the sun on the end of the escarpment.

Sadly, the Ultra has spent more time in the garage than on the road the last few months. I am either traveling in such a way that a motorcycle is not feasible or I am working from home. While the wife and I have made a few short rides around town, she is still limited due to seizures.

Where are those ancient beasts? Near Carlsbad?
I wish that about almost every bike I've had. (: The Evo was a solid platform.
