A Day in the Life...

When we first started looking, we were tempted by some less expensive, imported units....but, in the end we decided on this USA made unit.
All of our CNC cut parts we have farmed out to shops, we are now going to be able to cut them ourselves. Will probably take a few months to get everything into the cycle.
By mid summer we anticipate taking one-off custom jobs for folks that have their own designs for one-of-a-kind parts.

The HAAS tech got it leveled, and then went about calibrating everything.
It wasn't long til Devin started. This is a photo of the First Cut made-
First piece cut on it...some soft jaws.
After that he used the soft jaws he'd just cut to hold some round stock...
...and cut some LED light units.

I'll be 71 in 2 days, would love to take my 8 (9 in a week) year old grandson on a really long ride, but don't have that much confidence in this body anymore. Would be a summer he'd remember, though. Just me, sure, what have I got to lose. Do local rides with him and his mother, and she wants to do a Black Hills ride with the 3 of us, but we'd trailer the bikes there. He's ridden on back, but prefers the sidecar, says he can see better and it's more comfortable. Of course his favorite place is behind the bars since I let him have the high seat a couple times on farm roads on the Ural when he was 7. That won't happen on public hiways, though.
