I've learned that the trees above are a type of wild pear tree, and that most of the white blooming trees that, for decades, I have thought were dogwoods, are, in fact, either wild pear or wild plum trees.

Relatively speaking, there are very few dogwoods in our area.
How embarrassing. Go sit in the corner for 30 minutes. Oh my freaking word!

And by the way, thank you for the correction.

You can bring your Game Boy with you in the corner. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

We bought a tree thinking it was a Dogwood, turned out to be a Crabapple. Still pretty during the spring blooming season.
This time of year is a great time to ride Natchez Trace to see all the different plants blooming.

In NC we call those trees Bradford Pears. I don't know why, I've never seen a pear on one.

I remember the crab apple fights back in the day, we'd fill up paper shopping bags full of them.......acorns in the winter.....perfect sling shot ammo.

Yeah, I think I'll stick to about Harley's.

County finally got the road, that washed out a week or so ago, back open.

Looks like they put a bigger culvert in for the water to go thru, rather than taking the road away next time we get more heavy rains.

Wow! The TG is dirty! Got wash it soon.

That's the old culvert....guess they did not feel like hauling it away.

Last Thursday & Friday we got the container out back almost done...

...still have a bit more work to do to it. But we got a bunch of shelves up, and moved some workbenches in...

...and gained some space in the main building for incoming equipment.

We have done nothing on the SBS project bike for over a month, except move it outside the other day. Then we moved it back in, but it looks like it is going to be moved to my house for the rest of the work to be done there. Simply not enough room at the shop now.

Since I have no extra room in the bike room, the SBS is going to be in the house for the remainder of the work being done on it.

Just realized, I have not told Mary....gotta go do that now.
