When the snow gets deep my son will use the bobcat and help some of the old folks. The other day one of them brought him a pan full of home made caramel rolls...

This morning, stopped for gas....4.9 gallons in the 5 gallon tank. That was about as close as I want to get to pushing this bike.

So your tank lifts don't affect tank capacity. Have been thinking of one for my Electra Glide

We've had a few days of rain, then it got up to high 40's' F today with a 15 mph wind. So put the battery in and went for a ride. Used up about half a tank

Yup, a drop every 4" or so...

BTW, our local "weather girls" measure rain in hundredths of an inch...

Poor girls...
Hard to beat SoCal weather!

Just crazy thinking about that weather up your way. I hope the "global warming" doesn't push that arctic stuff down here.

I would be tempted to build one of these...

No, the tank will hold just as much, or a tad more, with a tank lift (because the filler cap sits higher). As long as you stay at 2" lift or less on an Electra, you will have just as much usable fuel.

That's up in Canada? Nice!

Kevin

Spent a bit of time on the DK Sporty today.

Recently I've been doing a little work on it here and there, freshening up a few things.

Today it was the headlight.

Tried out a factory headlight, mounted up higher, right off the bottom of the top tree...

...then tried out the Visor headlight off the bottom of the top tree...

...then mounted off the top of the top tree...

...I still like the Visor style better. But I like it better in this higher, tucked in location.

Leaving it there. Still need to decide on new rear RBT.

Kevin

Got my April issue of Cycle Source Magazine today.

They have a 3 page feature on the DK Sporty!

We'll be getting a digital copy of the article soon...the above is a photo I took of 2 pages of the article.

Stoked!

Been planning out our upcoming summer ride...and thought of this photo from the last trip we made.

Lydia, our granddaughter, in Missoula, MT.

We'll be up there again soon!
